Authorized Maryland Inspection Station
Failed Maryland Inspection? What to Do Next
A failed safety inspection gives you a list of items to address, not a reason to guess at repairs. Bring the report to our Brentwood shop so we can discuss what failed and the next steps.
3800 Rhode Island Ave, Brentwood, MD 20722
Start with your inspection report
- Read each failed item and keep the report for your return visit. You may repair the items wherever you choose — and we can do the repairs here.
- For the limited re-inspection, return to the original inspection station within 30 days and with fewer than 1,000 additional miles since the initial inspection. Both limits apply. If either limit is exceeded, a complete inspection is required.
- The re-inspection focuses on the repaired items and any other defects visually observed. Items that can be confirmed visually receive a visual recheck; other repairs may require the appropriate test or measurement. Ask the original station what your report requires.
What to bring
- Your failed-inspection report.
- Your vehicle registration or title.
- Your keys and any information about the completed repairs.
Plan your return visit
- Call (202) 985-9208 or send the report details on WhatsApp before returning. Confirm that the inspector is in and explain which items have been repaired.
